| Tribesmen sign accord to fight militancy |

KHAR: Signing a 28-point peace accord, tribesmen belonging to Chamarkand and Kamangara areas of Bajaur Agency on Saturday vowed to extend full cooperation to the government in purging the agency of anti-state elements.
The tribesmen and religious leaders at a Jirga held here on Saturday said that no one would be allowed to damage government’s property in the Bajaur Agency.
They vowed to extend their full cooperation to the law enforcement agencies to purge the area of militants and anti-state elements. Political Agent Zakir Hussain Afridi, Commandant

Jamil Khan, prominent religious leaders and tribesmen of Chamarkand and Kamangara areas also attended the Jirga.
Speaking on the occasion, PA Zakir Hussain Afridi said all-out efforts would be made to maintain the law and order situation in the agency.
He asked the tribesmen
to keep a vigilant eye on the movement of the suspected elements in their respective areas in order to keep the region clean of militants.
